Located between the Gulf of Saint-Tropez and the Gulf of Fréjus-Saint-Raphaël, the seaside resort of Les Issambres stretches for 8
kilometres along the Mediterranean coast, with its creeks, coves and beaches. Blessed with a mild Mediterranean climate, it offers
a wonderful setting between sea and nature.
It is an
ideal starting point for hikes, cultural excursions ans trips out to sea,
whether you wish to explore the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region or simply enjoy the local surroundings. Discover the secluded coves,
follow the coastal path from the San Peïre area (12 km, marked in yellow, approximately 4 hours) and make your way to the viewpoint
to take in the views across the Mediterranean.
At any time of the year,
les Issambres offers opportunities to enjoy nature and slow down, between the Massif des Maures to the west, a favourite area for hikers,
and the Esterel mountains to the east.
The name Issambres is thought to come from the Provençal expression meaning “in the cleft of the rock”. The area has retained much of
its authentic character. Already visited during Roman times, Les Issambres began to develop as a popular destination on the French Riviera
in the 1930s.
The sea is naturally at the heart of life in Les Issambres, and there are many ways to enjoy it throughout your stay.
Relax on the sandy beaches
or find a quieter spot in one of the more secluded coves. Here, the sea is never far away.
PTake some time for yourself at the thalassotherapy spa,
a peaceful place to unwind and enjoy the benefits of the sea.
Enjoy local cuisine
in the welcoming restaurants along the coast, or
make the most of the many activities on and around the water.
Depending on your mood, you can try catamaran sailing, windsurfing, sea kayaking, pedal boats, jet skiing, water skiing, parasailing,
SeaKart, diving or paddleboarding, join a sailing excursion or rent a boat.
With
nearly 3,000 hours of sunshine a year,
Les Issambres is a wonderful place to experience the relaxed Mediterranean way of life.
